Mike from BWNEXT on senior data, cloud and AI challenges in Brainport, and why building visibility needed to fit alongside the day-to-day work.

Launchmind is an AI-powered SEO and GEO content platform. We create and publish articles for our clients. One of those clients is BWNEXT, a data, cloud and AI consultancy based in the Brainport region. We spoke to Mike about what BWNEXT does, why its online visibility needed to reach two very different audiences, and how the company is building that presence without clearing its calendar.

What BWNEXT does and who it supports

BWNEXT is a data, cloud and AI consultancy based in the Brainport region. We connect experienced consultants with clients through a 75/25 model. The consultant keeps 75% of their rate, while the remaining 25% covers business development, contract management, legal support and coaching. It is a straightforward arrangement, and that clarity makes it easy to see where we add value and where the consultant remains in control.

Our strength lies in senior-level data, cloud and AI work for enterprise and manufacturing clients, both in Brainport and across the Netherlands. That can mean anything from architecture decisions and real-time data pipelines to FinOps and taking AI pilots into production. The latter is more often the real challenge than people expect. A pilot that works is not the same thing as a system that runs reliably in production.

There is another factor that matters too, one you will not find on a CV:

"Our consultants combine deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of the local high-tech landscape."

That makes a real difference in this region. You need to understand how these companies operate, what systems they already have in place, and what can realistically be delivered within a quarter.

Two audiences, one visibility challenge

The whole model depends on being easy to find from both sides. On one side are consultants looking for their next role. On the other are managers looking for flexible specialist capacity. They are two distinct groups, often looking independently, and BWNEXT sits between them. The challenge was making that role more visible.

That was why we started working with Launchmind. Visibility was the priority. But every hour we spend on marketing is an hour we cannot spend supporting consultants or clients. For an organisation of our size, that is the core issue. It is not a lack of willingness, it is simply a matter of where our time has the greatest impact.

This is what we were looking for, and what we found:

"Launchmind helped us build that visibility consistently, without requiring us to keep investing time in it ourselves."

Getting to know Juul was easy and straightforward. His approach to helping small and medium-sized businesses become more visible without creating a major time commitment aligned well with the way we work. It requires very little additional input from us. As Mike put it when discussing the start: "It felt easy to get started, and so far we have been very positive about how it is going."

Why consistency is the word that matters most

One-off visibility does not get you very far. You publish something once, it gets noticed, and then everything goes quiet three weeks later. For us, visibility needed to keep moving while we focused on architecture decisions and contract management. That is the difference between a campaign and a long-term foundation.

A consultant who is not considering a new role today may be ready to make a move in four months. A manager who has enough capacity right now may need extra support next quarter. You want to already be visible when that moment arrives. That only happens when your efforts do not depend on whoever happens to have spare time that week.

For now, we remain focused on what we do best: senior data, cloud and AI work for clients in Brainport and beyond. Our visibility can continue building alongside that work, rather than competing with it.

Could you briefly tell us about BWNEXT: what do you do, who do you work with, and where do you add the most value?

BWNEXT is a data, cloud and AI consultancy based in the Brainport region. We connect experienced consultants with clients through a 75/25 model. The consultant keeps 75% of their rate, while we use the remaining 25% for business development, contract management, legal support and coaching.

We are particularly strong in senior data, cloud and AI challenges for enterprise and manufacturing clients in Brainport and across the Netherlands. This ranges from architecture decisions and real-time data pipelines to FinOps and bringing AI pilots into production. Our consultants combine deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of the local high-tech landscape.

What prompted you to start working with Launchmind?

Visibility was the main reason. We wanted to be easier to find for consultants looking for a new role, while also reaching managers who need flexible specialist capacity. Launchmind helped us build that visibility consistently, without requiring us to invest time in it continuously.

How did the introduction and onboarding process go, and how has your experience been so far?

Getting to know Juul was easy and straightforward. His approach to helping small and medium-sized businesses become more visible without making it time-consuming fits well with our day-to-day work. It requires very little extra time from us. That made the onboarding process feel accessible, and so far we have been very positive about how it is going.
