Gies from Whoon talks about full-service interior advice in Oisterwijk, spending less time on SEO, and why a strong partnership matters more than the numbers alone.
Launchmind is an AI-powered SEO and generative engine optimization content platform that creates and publishes articles for its clients. One of those clients is Whoon, an interior design store in Oisterwijk where customers get far more than a chair. They can also receive advice on the flooring, walls and lighting that will bring the entire room together. We spoke with Gies about what changes when you outsource part of your marketing, and why the relationship with an agency can matter more than the results on paper.

Our customers come in for more than a single chair
Whoon is an interior design store in Oisterwijk, and we cover every aspect of the home. Furniture, flooring, wall finishes and window treatments. We provide the complete package. Of course, we are happy to help someone looking for a couple of chairs. But what we love most is helping someone choose a chair, a table and the light fixture above it.
We support that advice with a 2D drawing, a visual layout of the room, so customers can see how everything will work together before they place an order.
The choices are almost endless. A chair may be available in hundreds of fabrics, with different leg styles and colours, so it can be tailored exactly to the customer's taste. We go the extra mile to make that happen. And there is something else you will not find in a product catalogue:
"We're a Brabant company, and you should be able to feel that the moment you walk through the door."
That is not a marketing line. It is simply how we do things on the showroom floor.
Less time spent on SEO, more focus elsewhere
That way of working takes time. Personal advice cannot be automated, and we would not want it to be. Some of the marketing around it can be, though. We already use plenty of AI solutions across the team, including for SEO. Launchmind has been a valuable addition because it creates strong content, selects suitable images, manages social media and can even use voice applications to interview people.
The practical impact is straightforward. I need to allocate at least half a full-time role less to SEO. That gives the team more room to focus on other priorities while a specialist handles this part of the work. For a store where value comes from the time you spend with each customer, that makes a genuine difference.

Get startedIt does not feel like working with an outside agency
We were introduced to Launchmind. Its owner, Juul, came in to talk, and we clicked from day one. He is enthusiastic, and the team knows an incredible amount about SEO, AI and everything that comes with it. More importantly, they are willing to pull out all the stops for their clients, certainly for us. If we have a question, we get an answer straight away or they look into it immediately. If we make a suggestion, they act on it properly and without delay.
"It honestly feels as though we're working with colleagues, not an outside agency."
That is not something you can take for granted. We have worked with several providers in this area, and we never had the right feeling with them. Results matter, of course, but as I told Juul: "A good working relationship matters even more." The belief that we can achieve more together in the future than any previous agency achieved for us carries a lot of weight.
The first results are tangible: more website traffic. But it is not just traffic for traffic's sake. It feels like a natural fit for our business, bringing in the right kind of visitor. People who walk in looking for a chair and leave with a plan for their whole living room.

Can you briefly introduce Whoon? What do you do, who do you serve, and what are you particularly good at?
Whoon is an interior design store in Oisterwijk. We do everything related to interiors. Customers can buy all kinds of furniture from us, but we also take care of flooring, walls and window treatments. In other words, we offer the whole package.
We want to attract customers who are looking for more than just a couple of chairs. Naturally, we help those customers too, but ideally someone comes in for a chair, a table and a light fixture above it, and wants expert advice on how it all works together. We provide that advice using a 2D drawing, a visual sketch of the room.
When it comes to furniture, almost anything is possible here. A chair might be available in ten fabrics or 700, with different leg styles and colours, so it is perfectly suited to the customer's wishes. We do everything we can to make that possible. We are a Brabant company, and you should notice that as soon as you walk in.
Why is a tool like Launchmind a valuable addition to your marketing team?
We already use a lot of AI solutions within our team, including an AI solution for SEO. Launchmind is a great addition because the platform can create strong SEO content, find the right images, manage social media and use voice applications to interview people.
It means I do not need to dedicate a full-time employee, or at least half of one, to SEO. That allows the team to concentrate more effectively on other responsibilities, while we leave this work to a specialist company.
How has the partnership with Launchmind been so far?
We were introduced to Launchmind. Juul, the owner, came to speak with us, and it clicked straight away. He is enthusiastic, and the team has a huge amount of knowledge about SEO, AI and everything related to it.
They are also prepared to go the extra mile for their clients, certainly for us. When we have questions, they either come back with the right answer immediately or dig into the issue. When we make recommendations, they take them on board quickly and handle them well. It genuinely feels as though we are working with colleagues rather than an outside company.
What has Launchmind delivered so far, and what are you noticing in practice?
Of course, it has brought more traffic to our website. But more than that, we chose to work with a company that simply felt right. We have worked with several providers in this area before, and we did not have that feeling with them.
The results matter, naturally, but a good partnership matters even more. It is important to feel that together, we can achieve more in the future than any of the previous companies did for us. You notice that in day-to-day practice. If I have a question, I can go to them and they help me properly. And I feel that Launchmind fits us perfectly and is bringing the right traffic to our website.
